In the Happy Belly Deli, located in the back of Roanoke Natural Foods Co-op, you’ll find made-from-scratch foods, breads, and confections prepared daily using the best natural and organic ingredients available, at the lowest possible prices.
Healthy, delicious food is our passion, and we promise that the ingredients our staff uses include:
- Certified organic fair trade, shade grown coffee
- Certified organic and natural grains, beans, nuts, seeds, and flours
- Certified organic and locally grown produce and hormone-free milk
- Nitrate, hormone, and antibiotic-free meats
- Fresh, local eggs from free-range chickens
- Dolphin-safe tuna
- Reverse osmosis filtered water
Order at the counter from our extensive menu, which offers sandwiches, salads, and side dishes, and enjoy your meal in the Deli seating areas in the front and back of the store. Both areas have free wireless Internet access.
The Happy Belly Deli also creates daily specials, homemade desserts, and fresh-baked loaves of bread. Our fresh juice bar is the only one in town that juices fresh organic vegetables and wheatgrass and blends frozen organic fruits into smoothies.
